Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using SlateOne (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or continuing to use the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

Core features (project data stored on your device; no login required):

• Project poster wall — manage Projects with cover, take count, and last updated;
• Take timeline — per Project, log reference images, slate audio, and metadata;
• Imprint — generate a PDF slate sheet and share via the system share sheet;
• Slideshow video export — combine existing Take images and slate audio into MP4 (billed in Exposures per minute);
• Film rolls shop — buy consumable Exposures through Apple In-App Purchase.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

• No account registration; data remains on your device;
• You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms; minors should use the App with guardian guidance.

3. Your Content and Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for photos, audio, names, and exports you create or import;
• You must have rights to use that content and must not infringe others’ IP, privacy, or other rights;
• Do not use the App for illegal or harmful material;
• We do not pre-screen user content but may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

4. Free Tier and Exposures

4.1 Free tier (subject to change; in-app display controls)

The sample “Demo Rehearsal” project does not count toward free project slots and does not consume Exposures when adding Takes.

4.2 Exposures spend (in-app rates)

Exposures are consumable virtual currency. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal. Balance and ledger are stored locally on your device.

5. In-App Purchases

Consumable “Film roll” products credit Exposures via the App Store:

• Actual charge currency and amount follow App Store display;
• Purchases, refunds, and billing disputes are governed by Apple’s terms and policies;
• We cannot restore local Exposures balance lost through device change, uninstall, or lack of backup, except as Apple’s transaction rules may allow.

6. Attribution and connectivity

StoreKit purchases require network access to Apple. If you allow App Tracking Transparency, attribution SDKs included in the App (such as AppsFlyer) may send device and usage data to their servers as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer the App or circumvent Exposures / IAP controls;
• Exploit bugs to obtain Exposures unlawfully;
• Use the App in violation of applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property

• We own the App UI, branding, built-in sounds (e.g. clap), and software, except your content;
• You retain ownership of your content; you grant us only the technical license needed to run the App on your device.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted, error-free service or universal compatibility of exports. You assume risk for production decisions based on App records.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the App. Our total liability shall not exceed amounts you paid for in-app purchases in the past 12 months (if any).

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling. We may restrict access for material breach where law allows. Sections on content, IP, disclaimer, and liability survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms and revise the date on this page. Material changes may be surfaced in the App. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
